Several groups from outside the church regularly use the church premises for their meetings. These include:
Kern Morris are a group of men and women, with ages from 20 - 60 plus years, who perform Cotswold and Border Morris dances and music. We are regularly invited to festivals and other events, as well as pub spots on summer evenings with other local sides.
This side is Durham City's oldest mixed team and was established in 1986. Over the years we have travelled to the USA and performed at places such as Durham, Pennsylvania and Durham North Carolina as well as visiting France, Germany and Belgium. Our most recent tour involved a narrow boat trip on the Thames and Oxford Canal meeting local teams in that area.
New members are welcome at our practices on Wednesday evenings at Elvet Methodist Church.
