Elvet Methodist Church supports a different project each year, alternating between local projects, and overseas projects. The charities supported by Elvet in previous years are mentioned below.
Elvet United Against Dementia
The chosen charity for year beginning Sept.2018 was Dementia society based in Chester Le Street and including the Durham area. The logo ‘ELVET UNITED AGAINST DEMENTIA’ was adopted.
During the year starting September 2018 a variety of events will be held to raise funds. Some of the arising money will be used to fund RT therapy an art project/therapy which has proved to be beneficial to patients. The activity had ceased but it is hoped to be in operation before Easter.
